October brings ‘Golden Sheep’ touched by glimpses of sunlight. The North Star is visible in the night sky and Halloween approaches with apple bobbing. Darker Days, the wooded ethereal landscape shows gentle and fine weather. The low sun makes the colour of the trees amber, red and golden leaves. Beech woods show orange tones. Winter geese fly north following in a V shape as swallows head southwards to find some winter warmth. My sketch book now often inside and cosy warm by the fire.
