Follow your Dream of becoming an Inspirational Creative

It is more important today than ever to find a life that holds meaning and supports our dreams and values. Being creative, entrepreneurial, making decisions for ourselves, with the freedom to choose what we really want to do, is a dream we can all aspire to.  Otherwise, we are left with unfulfilled dreams.  Today more than ever, with so many opportunities and advantages available to us, this is the time to create something for ourselves which could lead to a thriving business.

To begin, decide on the direction you want to go with and consciously put your dreams into practice.  Talk to people who you think understand and feel the same way.  Look for information and resources to help you fulfil your dreams and start telling yourself you have already begun.  Set yourself goals, make a plan of what you can do now,  complete small steps, and be consistent.

So, what might be your dream?  Perhaps you are an aspiring creative in art or maybe writing.  You have unfulfilled artistic talent, which you never found the time to use.  You may have a strong imagination to create wonderful stories or skills in making things with your hands.  You are currently working a 9-5 job which you hate or a mother bringing up small children at home.  You might be retired with too much time on your hands.  it is never too late to do something with your underlying talent which has been sitting dormant and wasted for too long.

I have always loved working with my hands, creating beautiful things as well as writing stories.  A creative life can be full of freedom but to many, it is just a romanticised dream.  There have been many who have followed a creative path and made a very successful business for themselves.  What perhaps started as an enjoyable pastime, can something blossom into something more tangible and profitable.

Have you ever wanted to acquire some artistic skills?  Learning is so good for us.  It helps our minds regenerate to learn new things, forever adapting, developing knowledge, particularly as we get older.  Try an art course, challenge yourself by drawing every day.

There are all those college graduates coming out of university every year with creative degrees.  How can you compete with them?  Did you know that there are thousands of artists and writers today who are self-made, self-taught, with no formal education or training in the field?  It all starts with an interest and enthusiasm, time to practice and a will to learn and for some a latent talent which has laid undeveloped.

Setting up your creative life is obviously going to be competitive, with so many creatives out there, but it also tells us something, that if they can do it, why can’t you?  Everyone wants art on their walls, or to read good stories.  We are all different, we have different skills and abilities, so anything we create will be different from what someone else creates.  That makes us unique and offers us the opportunity to give something to the world that is exclusive and potentially extremely valuable.

You may not have such high ambitions and only wish to learn some new skills for pleasure, but that is equally important.  Living in a creative space is good for us all, for our minds and our souls.  Starting from a calm, quiet place, putting in the time and practice, will see your success come to life.  Setting yourself goals, practicing a little every day, can turn your dreams of a creative life into something far more tangible.  But the journey to success, does not happen overnight.

Do you know how to draw, paint, illustrate, write?  All these skills are abilities that anyone can learn.  We all have the potential, every one of us. There are those who are gifted, but often it is only that someone has praised them early on and that praise has turned into consistent practice and eventually complete mastery.  You too can become a beautiful, creative artist or writer.  All you need is the encouragement, confidence, and the skills to learn how and the desire to begin.

Daily practice is the answer to achieving your dreams. Put the time in to learn every spare moment you have and there is no doubt you will succeed.
